‘IT’ Brief Movie Review
One, I was curious to see how they chose to tackle the story and handle the remake from the mini series that was made for network television.
Two, and the main reason I wanted to see ‘IT’ was because my fiance is a scaredy cat when it comes to any type of horror movies. Call me mean, but she agreed to go!
If you are expecting a “scare the crap out of you” film, you might be let down. Unless you are deathly afraid of clowns. Overall, I would say that ‘IT’ is more of a thriller than straight up horror. Take it from my fiance, who hates horror movies because she scares easy, and I quote, “That wasn’t as scary as I thought it was going to be.”
Only real complaint was the movie start time was 9:15 and the film itself didn’t start until 9:40. I love previews but I don’t need that many of them.
SPOILERS (kind of) BELOW
If you read the book or watched the mini series then you know the story has two parts. And just like the book and mini series, the film is going to have two parts, which I think is a great idea to properly give the source material its proper film. The second part which is going to focus on the kids, now adults, facing off against Pennywise once again.
