I can speak from experience, as I have been to this event every year since its inception in 2012. (Back when it was Denver Comic Con, and then Denver Pop Culture Con, and now Fan Expo Denver.) Read on to find out what awaits you at this year’s Fan Expo Denver.

- Plan for the heat: July can be very warm in Denver. Combine that with blazing sunshine and Colorado’s altitude and a lot of people can get worn down quicker than they think. Stay hydrated friends.
- Make a plan for anything you deem a ‘Must See’: As I mentioned before, the entire convention center is sensory overload, and there are things going on everywhere all the time, making it really easy to get distracted. So, make sure you know when and where you need to be for anything important to you.
- Be prepared to wait in lines: I’m not talking about San Diego Comic Con lines, but there are lines to get in, lines for food, lines for vendors, lines for panels…depending on what you want to see, you could be doing a lot of standing. Wear those comfy shoes!
