Sometimes CGI effects can be mind-blowing, other times they look like bad computer game graphics. Sometimes practical effects add the perfect amount of scale and realism, other times they make everything look like ‘The Muppets’. We discuss the pros and cons of both CGI and practical effects used in movies, as well as some of the best and worst uses of each in this week’s podcast.
