Music has changed a lot over the past few decades. How we make it, how we listen to it, how it’s distributed, how it’s promoted…they have all changed drastically. (Some for the better, some for the worse.) But we now live in an era where artists can have repeated chart topping hits and still be completely ‘unknown’ by the general public. And other artists that have almost no traditional exposure, but become household names and sell out arenas. The 1980s were the decade of one-hit wonders, are the 2020s the decade of the no-hit wonders?
