When you were a kid and you might have had a friends who always seemed to have the coolest toys and gadgets. No matter what socioeconomic background you came from, there were always other kid that seemed to everything, and odds are you were a bit jealous. The Power Wheel, the pool, the trampoline, the fridge full of Snapple, the big screen TV…This week we talk about some of the things that made you think other people were rich in the 90s.
Now keep in mind this in an entirely superficial discussion. We’re not here to judge anyone’s guilty pleasures, money splurges, or belittle the fact that even though I was jealous of another person’s stuff, someone else envied the things I had. (First world problems anyone?) But it is really interesting to dissect the physical possessions that you associated with other’s being rich in the 90s.
