Titan Fall 2: Tech Test Reveiw

The first Titanfall was a fun game. It was a little overhyped, and it was lacking a storyline, but it was fun to play.

​After a few rounds of the Titanfall 2: Tech Test…I can say I’m truly excited about the full version of the game.

It’s faster than Halo, it takes more strategy than Call of Duty, and has a lot of different game types (Suck it Blizzard and your three game types).

The new Titan, “Scorch”, has some fun abilities, and the new weapons add a new element to some of the game types. We seemed to be drawn to Amped Hardpoint. (Think domination, only you get double point for double-capturing map points.)There are a few problems we’ve encountered from the test:

• Some of the games feel a little imbalanced, and seem to allow spawn-camping pretty easily.
• The multiplayer matchmaking is pretty much worthless, but they say that the alpha matchmaking is not what the actual game will have. (Yay!)

But overall, if the test is a true representation of the game…Titanfall 2 is going to see a lot of time in my Xbox’s slot.

For being nothing more than a multiplayer test mode, we spent a good number of hours engrossed in Titan combat. We’ll probably play it when they test it again this weekend.
