Spin-offs seem like they are a necessity to television. People like a show and the creators take certain parts of that show and create another show to see if they can keep the interest up. (Or at least make some money.) Some are good, some are bad, some you might not even realize are spin-offs. These shows are what we discuss in the latest Get Geekish Podcast.
What is a spin-off? According to Wikipedia, “Aspin-offintelevisionis a new series which contains either , a different character or theme elements from a previous series. They are particularly common insituation comedy. A related phenomenon, not to be confused with the spin-off, is thecrossover.”
