San Diego Comic Con 2022 Cosplay Video

Cosplay enthusiasts and fans of all things geek, prepare to be dazzled, with our San Diego Comic Con 2022 cosplay music video. We finally made it to SDCC! After countless conventions, Get Geekish had never set foot in this iconic event. Originally slated for 2020, fate had other plans. Nevertheless, the wait proved worthwhile, as SDCC cosplay exceeded all expectations.

Cosplay and costumes were out in full force at San Diego Comic Con  and here’s a taste of what we saw. Get Geekish has been to over 30 different cons, but never the mother of them all…until this year. (Well, actually it was supposed to be in 2020, but we all know how that story ended.) In any case, this con was worth the wait. SDCC is definitely where the party is at!

Now, cosplay aside, here is the best and worst of what we experienced…

The Best of San Diego Comic Con

Some say size doesn’t matter, but dang…this con was huge. We averaged 20,000 – 30,000 steps a day while taking in awe inspiring spectacles. The moment we stepped into the exhibit hall, our jaws dropped. There were so many things going on from scavenger hunts, to escape rooms, to dancing, and so many cool things to buy. Of course, the cosplays are always a favorite at any con and San Diego did not disappoint except that there was no way to see them all. At any given time, there were random celebrity sightings and giveaways which made it feel like anything could happen.

The Worst

In some ways, I was very appreciative of the masks we had to wear since there were so many people, but wearing them in the heat was tough.  Also, there were lines for everything! We didn’t even try for the illusive Hall H because we didn’t want to wait overnight for a wrist band that would let us stand in line to see things that would be on YouTube the next day. There were even lines to buy things. It was easy to feel like you were missing out since so many things happened at a moment’s notice and if you weren’t at the right place at the right time, you missed it.  However, the first time of anything is always learning to ropes, and we would totally catch more now that we know a bit about what to expect.

Overall

We are so glad to have experienced the one and only San Diego Comic Con! After four days of California Con Vibes, we are totally going through the traditional post comic con blues and have put together a little video so we can relive our experience over and over again. If you too are suffering from far too many normies on the street, no longer having any lines to stand in, or lack of sleep, please take at least one view of this video daily. Side effects may include need to party, desire to walk down a street in costume, uncontrollable urge to buy art and collectible figures.
